This is an issue that many people with jailbroken devices have reported having, but you’ll be glad to know there is a very effective way around it.
Some apps detect if particular device is jailbroken or have some tweaks installed and in that case they may crash. But don’t worry because here is a fix for this kind of issues.
Fix Snapchat Error Could Not Connect on iOS
#1 – Those who have gotten this error message when they try to sign into Snapchat will first need to go into Cydia and see if you have xcon cydia tweak installed. xcon is a tweak to bypass jailbreak detection in App Store applications but it may break Snapchat.
If you do in fact have xcon installed on your device, you will need to remove it immediately. For that, after you tape xcon, just tap the “Remove” button on the list.
#2 – You will also want to search for “NoSub” and install it. NoSub will disable substrate from loading in particular apps. To install it you will will need the HackyouriPhone repo (repo.hackyouriphone.org). You can add it on “Sources” tab.
Hit “Install“, “Install” again, and then “Confirm“. You will see a black and white screen with a bunch of letters and numbers, which is the processing screen.
After it does its thing, your phone will automatically respring. After it has loaded back up, you will want to open up iCleaner on your device. If you do not already have iCleaner installed, it is a great app that can keep your device running smoothly.
While it is a good idea to have iCleaner on your device, you do not absolutely need it to get the Snapchat error to go away. If you have followed all of the instructions above, you should be able to use Snapchat without any issues.
If the steps above didn’t work for you, go into Settings and scroll down until you find the NoSub tweak. Go into Kill Substate In and go down until you see Snapchat. Hit Enable and respring your device.
