Apple introduced in 2016 the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (an OLED touch bar). According to the application in use, the Touch Bar adjusts the display features.
For example, using the Messages App Emojis will show up in the bar just above the keyboard. Now it is possible to have a bar with same functions on any Mac / iMac or Mac mini. Let’s see how.
Andreas Verhoeven and Robbert Klarenbeek developed an application (Touch Bar Demo App) for Mac that permits to have the Touch bar on-screen. Something like the dock bar floating when user want. This app is available for free (under MIT license) on GitHub. See here how to download and install it.
This application also allows to user macOS Touch Bar from an iPad connected to a Mac (connected via USB).
