Restore deleted files and contacts on iCloud.com: the new feature on iCloud.com: Apple owners can now restore any deleted file, contact or calendar. This is not about restoring an entire backup to an iOS device for example (it was already possible), but to restore old files directly on your iCloud.com account (directly on iCloud drive).
In this post we are are describing the simple process of restoring files on iCloud.com.
How to restore deleted files and contacts on iCloud.com
Apple user with iCloud account can restore their stuff by going to “Settings” tab you can then select: “Restore Files“, “Restore Contacts” and “Restore Calendars“.
If you select “Restore Files“, then you can choose the files you would like to restore on iCloud Drive. Check the following image.
When the files are listed (these are the files that can be restored), you can see the “days remaining” to restore the files. Right now Apple is offering 30 days to restore you deleted files.
For the contacts and calender entries the process is similar, you’ll be able to restore changes you have made in calendar or contact entries.
Please note that if you restore an calendar the invitations will be sent again.
Conclusion: this is one of the best iCloud.com features added this year (added right now) and Apple added it silently without any public announcement.
