Install iFile on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch running iOS 8 + Cydia: As you may know it is not possible to navigate trough the file-system on an Apple Device as you can do with Android devices, where a native file manager is accessible for all users.
With Apple devices you can do this using a Cydia app named iFile (here you have iFile Developer’s Page if you are interested in knowing more). iFile will be useful in some of our how-to and guides, so if you are interested in getting a good file manager you can consider this one.
Before continue, make sure you have your device jailbroken with Cydia. If you are ready to continue it is a very simple and easy process. iFile is available on BigBoss repo (under System category).
- Launch Cydia from Home Screen
- Go to Sources tab and make sure you have BigBoss repo listed, if not just add BigBoss repo URL: http://apt.thebigboss.org/repofiles/cydia/ (please note that his URK is not accessible from browser, but it will work fine on Cydia)
- Go to “Search” tab and type: “iFile“, then just install this amazing Cydia App
Once iFile is installed just go to your Home Screen and launch iFile, now you are able to navigate trough your iOS file-system.
If you are using or recommend more file managers, please just share with us in commends section.
