Restore iOS 9, 9.0.2 or 9.1 device without having to lose jailbreak following these steps. In the past when you wanted to restore your device, you had to lose your jailbreak and do it all over again once the restore process was complete. With this method, however, you won’t have to worry about losing your jailbreak at all.
For Mac Users
To start off you will need to prep your iDevice and computer.
Step 1: Take your device and open Cydia. You will need to install Open SSH if it is not already installed. For that, go to “Search” tab > search for “Open SSH” > tap on it > tap “Install” > tap “Confirm“.
Step 2: Next you will need to back out and go into your “Settings” app and then “iCloud“; remove it for the time being.
Step 3: Next you will want to go to your Mac and download Semi Restore 9 here.
Step 4: Before you run Semi Restore 9, you will need to install Homebrew for OSX, GTK3 and libSSH2. Open your terminal and paste the appropriate command and hit return on your keyboard. Tap return one more time and type your password. Homebrew is now installing.
Step 5: Now that Homebrew has been installed, paste the same command and hit return. Both apps are now installing. After the installation process for these apps is complete, you can close out the Terminal and go into Settings, Security & Privacy, and select the option to allow apps from anywhere.
Step 6: You can close down the Settings window. Both the device and computer are ready. Unpack the zipped Semi Restore 9 file. You will get a window that says this app is on a “Work for me basis”, which means that it may work for me but not for you. Tap “Okay” and tap “SemiRestore”. This process will take a little while, and when it’s finish you can close the app.
You will have to go through the initial setup process, which is very simple and straightforward. Once your device is back on, you will need to go to Settings, General, and About to see that you are on the same iOS. Open up Cydia and you will see that everything loads up like it is supposed to. As long as you followed these steps there is no reason this method will not work perfectly for you.
For Windows Users
Step 1: install OpenSSH. Once you do that, go into the Settings app and remove your iCloud account for the time being. You can turn it back on when you are done.
Step 2: Go over to your PC and download the SemiRestore 9 zip file by going here .
Step 3: Once you have it downloaded, extract both files onto your desktop and launch “SemiRestore 9”.
Step 4: All you have to do is “SemiRestore” and wait. Be patient and wait a while. Make sure to keep your mobile device connected the entire time this process is going so it doesn’t get interrupted.
Once it is done you can close the app. You will have to go through the initial setup, which is very simple and straightforward with a series of basic prompts. After you go through the initial setup, you can go into the Settings app, General, About and see that you are still on the same operating system on your mobile device. Everything should load up perfectly.
